Project Life : Week 6

First off.. Happy Valentine's Day (well what's left of it!) I was planning on posting early but time got away from me with all the fun of the day.

Today I'll be sharing what I did w/ our past week.

This week I included my Ali Edwards : A Day in the Life as well as Elle Publishing 12 on 12 which really filled my week with LOTS of pictures but I was able to condense them but using templates.

Let's start with my A Day in the Life : Which I did for Feb.8th I actually blogged about it HERE

Here is my 12 on 12th share : Took all my pictures on Istagram for this day made it SO easy.

I printed both out and included them in a 8 1/2x11 page protectors which worked out perfectly.

For this week I did NO sewing (GASP) But I use my Silhouette where I decided to try out some confetti fun as I had been dying to give it a try since Lisa brought it to us. OH SUPER LOVE.
Also another person who inspired me K.P. with her AMAZING pictures where she fills out more then one space in the page protectors So I used one of the collage picture I had made of the Valentine pictures I took of my kids.

I had to included as well one of the wrappers to the Heatwraps that I have been using all week. They sure have been a very good friend I must say! A bit of Charlie Brown because he's very much loved around here my Sassy. Her favorite saying is "Good Grief"

Also included photos from another photo shoot I did w/my nephews which was so much fun. Oh I love them so. Lots of hand written journaling which I want to continue to do. As well as the Psalm of the week I studied.

Once more I cut a page protector to accommodate our week. I am looking forward to the end of the week as I heard there will be restocking of other different size page protectors which I had my eye. Let's hope I'm fast enough! :)

Valentine's Eve

Is there such a thing? There is in my house! It's been funny as it feels as we have been Valentine Elves getting the last bits ready.

I was just doing my last bit of Valentine Shopping myself but I had to make sure I got a deal (WHO doesn't love a discount) & I love to be able to use coupons so I have been using Overstock.com promo codes and getting some coupons when I make my purchases.

So not only will you make someone happy you get a discount! LOVE IT.. I am also working on my 6th week of Project Life for tomorrow. I hope you will stop by for that as well. Now Here is something I have printed and framed in my house which I really love :

When Pain Back Attacks

Happy Friday everyone! I just wanted to quickly post as I had stated that I was going to share my little Valentine's Day Project I am doing w/ Isaac's Class but go figure that my back had other plans and it has put a freeze on doing so.

So today I wanted to share a peek at the project since I can at least grab my Ipod & the material (my table is next to my bed)

I am planning on taking a picture of each of the kids & sticking it on their tag & then they can write a note to whome they want to give their Valentine to :) & we will be making cute little gift bags to put their tag in. (I got the idea of the bag on Pinterest)

Hopefully tomorrow I'll finish die cutting the other pieces to the project and I promise to share the finished project.

A Little Encouragement

Just a quick post as I've been super busy today but here is a a little card I made using Elle Studio's kit again.

I thought I'd make a few little cards & have them ready for use. This is one of them, I also used a Hero Arts Set : You are the Best.

I think I could use this "sketch" and just chance the sentiment and patterned paper to one that I might need and it would work and have them ready for when I need them.

I have a thing for Tim Holtz awesome stapler so I used it to hold my pleated piece. If you don't have one WHY Not? (I use it for everything )

I'm working on Sweet's 3rd grade Valentine class project I'll share tomorrow. Let's just say I am keeping my Silhouette BUSY but I think the kids will get a kick out of doing this project or at least I hope so and hope the moms love receiving it.

Project Life : Week 5

Happy Tuesday Everyone! Into February we go. This week we had a little bit of of everything you could say. Since this was a new month I had to include a new Folder which I so love since now I can include all those extras I want to keep but don't want to keep adding page protectors into the weeks.

So let's start my Week shall we :

So as you can see I had to go and get my sewing machine in the mix which actually made me giggle. It SO is NOT the most perfect sewing yet but I decided to keep them because as I get better it also will document my beginnings of my "sewing" . To "camouflage I stamped the letters a bit as well.

This week I also used my Silhouette for all my titles using Ali Edward's Font. I welded the letters together to make it easier when adhering them to my photos.

Once again I included my Psalm for the week. Its going to be wonderful to look back and see what I was reflecting on for the each week.

This page protector is from We R Memory Keepers and it has a 4x12 space. The front I did our Title Week here on the back page I meshed 3 pictures to document. Also I found a new FREE app that I am loving.

Since I love taking so many pictures I need a way to mesh them together so I am always on the lookout to do so. This week I found Storyboarder which let's you make collages and it's pretty cool if you had wanted to you could mail the board you made as a postcard. For right now I am just emailing them to myself and then I edit them.

I did that w/the picture of Sassy & I making cookies. I uploaded it and then I added one of Ali Edwards Brushes on PSE . I purchase all my Ali Edward Brushes at Design Details

I also included badges that I received from Kai Lun I SO Love her badges so much I'm in the process of another order & once I receive it I'll have a giveaway for you!

Also I didn't want to forget to share about the Freebie that Persnickey Prints has which is 4x6 templates which let's you include pictures and journaling which I LOVE and used as well this week. I included it for the little lunch date I had w/Sweets & Sassy at McDonalds. (at the end of my journaling I added yet another Ali Edwards Brush yes I SO love them!)

Ending the week w/of course something about the Superbowl (My boys were SO happy) as well as a drawings from Sassy as she is loving Minnie Mouse. Notice how she only colored the girls Ha.. she said that's all that was needed (also added another badege in there) as well as her hairstyle choice for Sunday & and a journal card to document the rest of the our little details.

Last but not least here is my Folder for February as you can see I've added the articles from Sunday for my boys to go ahead and look back on in the future.

Well time to go as I have to plan a little craft project for Sweet's 3rd grade class for Valentine's Day! I can not wait to spend the afternoon w/them. I couldn't have asked for a better little gift on that day.

Hello everyone here I am sharing a page I made using Elle Studio's latest Exclusive Kit : Love Story
When I received the email telling us the date it was to be available & after seeing the peeks I HAD to get it . I had gotten one of the previous kits which ended up one being perfect for my December Daily.

Well this week I decided to jump into it finally after having it for over a week. YES a Week. Why did it take me that long well it was THAT fun and so pretty I just didn't want to cut into it!

So I finally said I have to use it and got jumped in. OK sure I only used a few of the items but its a start right? Actually once I started using the kit I keep playing and so far I have 4 layouts I will be sharing in the upcoming week.

Today I'll share the first page I did which was for this week's Sketch :

I decided to use some of my Studio Calico goodies as well like the Wasbi tape (in woodgrain) & used my Mr. Huey's -Warm Calico which as you can see died my lace black (LOVED), I also used piglet to die the Doily as well as a Woodgrain button.

I also used my Silhouette to cut out the hearts, title & label and Doily.

Today is Pizza Friday so kids are getting itchy to get started (we make our own) I better get going but as always thank you SO much for stopping by.

Squeezing a Bit of Play

Hey all.. Today has been one CRAZY day.. I'm in the middle of projects & getting into my running again this AM went well squeezed in a 10K which felt awesome then I squeezed in a little Digi page while I was working on my other projects.

I used two different designers kits one from Wild Blueberry Ink & the other from Karla Dudley LOVE these 2 gals they are just OH so amazing... I love how fun their kits are. To prove it here is my page. For this page I mostly used Wild Blueberry's kit she just released (HURRY its on sale!)

What I love about working with Digi kits I can change the colors to what you need. So beyond fun to get my colors just as I need although for this page I really didn't change to many colors only a bit to make some items pop.

In other news my Sweets fell during gym today and hurt his knee and Hubs had to go get him because he couldn't walk on his leg. He's ok the knee a bit swollen but not too bad. Choc. chip cookies and some loving and he's doing much better.

Time for me to run as I hear him calling me as we need to study his vocabulary words for a test tomorrow at school (hoping he's feeling 100% in the AM)

Project Life : Week 4

WOW can you believe January is over?! I am still in awe how fast it went by. Tomorrow starts February and am looking forward to it. I found out yesterday I was chosen for my Sweet's Valentine Day's Party so I need to get working as to what I want to bring. They have egg & peanut allergies in his class so it I need to do some research.

How about I share my Week 4. This week I filled 1 page protector (back/forth) & I another page protector but cut a row of it to adjust our week.

For this week I once again added my Psalm of the week that I am studying. Used my Silhouette for my Week title. I also used

Here is a close up of my Week title once agian I used Kerri's kit I love the chevron background. I was a bit nervous since I only have the Silhouette and not the Cameo but I did an update and its been working amazing especially with detail cuts. As you can see I started to sew on the "Week but I felt it was going to tear the background and so it only got a little sewing touch instead.

I wanted to use this overlay on this pictures as it was the day that our Sassy got registered for Kindergarten. I want to give the link to it and will update as it was a free overlay but I don't know if your like me that finds a freebie and then can't remember where you got it or forgot that you even had it. (yes I am so guilty of that) I also added one of the ormula days buttons. I have a couple of packs coming soon so hopefully I'll have more scattered throughout the upcoming weeks.

My Instagram app got LOTS of work this week as for the most part it was yucky outside & I didn't want to go about w/my DSLR so its fun to be able to just pull out my ipod and click. These pics were captured while we were going & coming back into the city.

This was the page protector that I cut. I found some cute free quotes on pinterest. I also used my Simple Stories to sort of "End the month with that quote that said what January meant to us. Being it included Birthdays of both my girls, Kindergarten registering, New adventures and each moment makes our family so special.

Project Life : Week 3

WELL talk about close call. Today was another super busy day BUT here I am sharing Week 3 YAY me Ha..

Week 3 was another quiet week for us. So again just a single (back/front) filled.

I am alright w/that. I documented what I needed and that is what is important and awesome about Project Life. Its just what you want it to be. So with that here we go :

For this week I included labels as well as my sewing machine which was fun as I adhered Thickers & then sewed. I saw Michelle W. do it &; I just had to give it a try. I also included pictures from my instagram once again including our good eats. Also Used my Fuji Instax Camera for a rainy trip outside. (only had 2 pics lefts so why not right)

Also this week I started a WONDERFUL program : Hello Good Mornings which so far has been so amazing & entails for us to have a psalm from the bible and reflect each day on some exercises which have been wonderful & so happy I am doing it. So I decided to add this last week's Psalm.

Once again I wanted to included an extra 4x6 sleeve for a couple of extra pictures of the kids playing :

This is the back page. Included was our 1st snow storm as well as the Giants winning (I only included because the boys are fans ha) A silly little pic I just took of Hubs & me while he was playing Xbox w/my Ipod & 2 blue birds outside my window :)

For my bits & fun I used some Martha Stewart labels which I am LOVING as well as Ali Edward's brushes as well as well as Ormolu badges that I so love. Oh and the super fun Tiny Templates from Cathy Z.

So that was my little week in a nutshell as you can see by my late posting this week has already started off pretty busy & can't wait to put this week together & share next week.

For this page I once again went to my Studio Calico kits and used my Silhouette for the title. That phrase is from a Kerri Bradford kit.

It's a gentle kind of day around here as it would have been our Anjie's 6th birthday so we are planning to take her flowers.

I loved playing so much last week with Elle Studio that here I am playing again. This week this is the sketch we had to play with :

This week once again I grabbed from stash of goodies. Using dollies,lace,ribbon that I have all in one place glass bowl. Am I the only one w/one of those? These pictures are once again from Sassy's birthday. For the title I used my Silhouette to cut it out which I thought perfect for these pictures.

I have over stash of 100 pictures that were all printed for scrapbooking lets see if I can get that down. These were part so its a start right? How about you do you have in mind a stash of pictures to scrap this year?

Project Life : Week 2

Can't believe Week 2 is documented and into the next we are in. As I had said on my last post of my Project Life this pretty low key. For this week I mostly focused on the foodies that we are in my family.

I have learned how to cook healthy but super yummy food so there are pictures of what we were eating this week. Also I documented the letters of acceptance from the High Schools my Oldest was mailed. We are beyond proud because all 3 he applied said yes to him.

Also I included our Friday movie we watched as well as a printed ticket that Hubby had from a Knicks game he went w/my brother.

Other little moments documented were the start of my Kettlebell classes and the welcoming of a sewing machine which both are new adventures which I am looking forward to learning about what I can do with them.

One thing I that really am happy I have is my date stamp from my Core Kit from last year's Project Life. It is making things easier for me to add dates to smaller pictures I might be doing.

I must say I love Pinterest as I have been finding lots of freebies for journaling which I love & thank everyone for sharing!

Becky has been posting some fun links and I just LOVE seeing everyone's take on Project Life. SO inspiring and love seeing new ideas that I might think would work for our family too. Well I hope you have a wonderful week & I'll be back next week w/another Project Life Share!

Just Like Riding a Bike

Or so they say when it comes to trying to get back into the swing of things. Well that is where I am right now when it comes to scrapbooking. This year I want to get back into scrapbooking and not just digi scrapbooking but actually getting into my goodies and putting them together.

So after my long drought I decided to give Elle Studio's Thursday Sketch a try. This is what we had to play with :

Another of my goals is to use my stash which was actually part of last year's goal. So into my stash jar I went and grabbed a tag & lace for this little focal point.

Almost everything else on this page was from a Studio Calico kit, the stamp was from Ali Edwards, & a date tag from Elle Studio.

This was one of the pictures of my Sassy after her birthday party & once I saw it I knew I had to scrap it.

I have a little pile of pictures I want to scrap & hopefully I will be be sharing a layout a week. Let's see what happens.

Project Life - Week 1

Happy Tuesday my bloggy Friends. Finally was able to get some pictures of my 1st week of Project Life. I most say that I have a picture explosion being it was the 1st of the year & our Gabi's bday is on the 3rd & we had a party & well I just couldn't help myself. OK are you guys ready?

I did warn you that I went a bit picture happy didn't I? I would have had more pictures if I wouldn't have figured that my printer allows me to make a sort of collage. So for some of my 4x6 I made collages with 4 pictures in them. That helps cutting on the ink and space because I used 4 page protectors JUST for this week!

I am OK with it because well this was a big week and I'll have a "quiet week" for this & next week although I just might go picture happy at the end of the month when I have to go register Gabi for Kindergarten EEEK.. (WOW didn't I just post about her being born?)

For me I have decided that printing my journaling is going to be a thing I will be doing more as well. I know they say use your own handwriting but I want to make it "PERFECT" and so I would prob. mess up more then 10x before I would get it right so for that I am going to just type it. I am looking into getting a font w/my handwriting that way it WILL be me writing (I'll post about with my next project life update)

I love Cosmo Cricket's & Authentique for their word stickers to add documenting. Also using loads of Ali Edwards overlays as well as Karla Dudley

Another thing that helped me this week was using a page protector you can add on top of a 4x6 already I used it to add the Title of what week it was and a few things I wanted to add in there.

Can I say Loving the folders Becky came out with! Last year I would add the little things I collected into the album ex. notes,newspapers,receipts but now I will be using these folders to put these into.
LOVE IT!

Also must mention that having my Silhouette REALLY has gotten fun and also am using it. I will be using it for my "Week" Title page as I love Keri Bradford's kit she has right now.

Well I think this is enough of my first novel of a post for today. I am actually a bit excited as I am getting a sewing machine today. Truth be told I am BEYOND nervous because I can not even thread a needle but that is one of my Goals for 2012 is to learn to sew a bit well enough to make doll clothes as its already been requested by Ms. Sassy.

Happy New Year! - Project Life 2012

Happy New Year everyone! Can you believe its 2012 already? I know I feel as if 2011 was just on full fast forward and I was just holding on to keep up. So many adventures and moments that I learned and loved.

I am excited to see what 2012 will bring to us. Today I wanted to share my Title for my 2012 Project Life. This year I actually went TOTALLY different then last years. I actually personalized it a bit more especially after seeing such amazing other title pages. I actually have a sewing machine that is suppose to be here next week some time so I want to add a couple of stitches to my page but here it is

I also am working on the back of of my title page which right now is pretty plain & is where intend to add the stitching. I've included words I want to focus for 2012 One being my One Little Word for 2012 which is : Perseverance.

I am also waiting on my binder as I had stated on my last post I had been waiting till the last minute as I thought the Project Life Black Signature Binder would be available before the end of the year but decided to just get go ahead and get the Clementine edition to match my core kit.

Well I am off to see what my kids are up to, I hear them playing sounds like clicking opps to me!

Getting Ready for Project Life 2012

Happy Saturday everyone! Hope everyone is enjoying their December. Ours has been full of wonderful Fun.

I was out doing some errands and when I got home there was a package for me. It's actually my Christmas present you can say as I have loved it so during this current year my hubby made it so I will be ready for the coming year!

So today I have my Project Life Core Kit- The Clementine Addition!

I giggled because this is last year's Picture when my Kit arrived :

I've Shrunk like the Box! Ha... So you BET this will be one of the pictures I'll tuck into my album as I did w/ 2011.

I love that looking at our current album it is full of milestones I was able to do this year like becoming a runner (GASP), Losing weight, jumping into Photography and learning what it is I need to do to push myself to reach these goals.

I've been able to capture my children's amazing and wonderful moments & as well as all their achievements as well as things that have happened in the news that I am sure as they grow and continue in school those events will be discussed in school BUT I will have captured their view & documented what they did & felt when it did happen. Having a hubby that works for the newspaper depo comes in handy sometimes!

So how about you. Will you be joining the amazing & wonderful experience that is Project Life. There is nothing to it. You make it what you want. You can just click a picture and put it in your album and jot a few words or you can go crazy and add as much as you want (guilty Ha) or do it digitally as that is a new option now. I will be mixing both (I actually started already for the last weeks.

Adventures of Elf on Our Shelf

Since the beginning of December we've had the honor of having a new little guest that has been staying w/us. You see she comes from the North Pole & she's one of Santa's very special helpers. Since Santa is very busy she's come to keep an eye on my 3 kiddies...

Today I share what adventures she's had some have made giggle or have been silly as can be but one thing is for sure she if the kids have been good she'll bring back a treat. If they have been naughty she'll cause some mischief of her own.

So far She's been so much fun & I love to see the kids trying to find her every morning. I plan on making a book for them to remember her when she leaves back to the North Pole until next Christmas. To Capture where she has been for the day I am using the app - Halftone I SO Love it! I'm using the Ipod4 to do so.

Project Life Updating- November 12th- Present Aha Moment!

Hello everyone!

How is your December coming along? Only 21 days till Christmas!! Who's ready. Not ME that's for sure. Ha.. BUT I am happy to say our Elf Alice has been filling in with in for what I am lacking for Christmas cheer for right now. Thanks Alice (you can check what she is up to on my Photo Blog)

So as you can see on my title this post is about Project Life Updating. Ok are you ready.. I AM UP TO DATE.. (come on do a dance with me!!) (ok a few notes I do have to transfer over but I am UP to date)

So do you know something I came about an Aha moment while I picked up my album to do so. I don't know about you but even though I super LOVE my Project Life and I've heard it all over bloggy land where everyone doing it says oh its what you want it to be. I still felt PRESSURE.. (there I feel so much better saying that out loud.)

Seriously I would go and see updates on other blogs and then say WOW that looks SO awesome.. Then it was right there when it hit me.. ELLIE.. seriously this is YOUR family life. So you take a million pictures of something that might be going on AND actually do want to put them all in the album. GO AHEAD... cause psssst. Its your album..

WHAT?! I can .. I CAN!!! SO I've decided that I will take a deep breathe and just need to get more ink and PRINT.. and fill.

- Its ok if I don't make separate card to divide the weeks, I love to put tabs on the pictures or just write the journaling ON the picture when I edit, or as I've been doing lately print the journaling on the back of the pictures.

-I don't need a certain amount of page protectors per week. NOPE I can just ADD MORE. WHO knew right?!

Therefore I will be ok with what I put in my album and super smile because what Project Life is about documenting your life and its NOT suppose to be pressure and it doesn't need to look perfect because it is perfect just as long as you put something into your album.

I hope my Aha moment might have got you thinking if you are a bit behind if you are doing Project Life Or if you were on the fence about doing so for the new coming year. This is such a wonderful experience and even more so when you know there is no stress but just amazing and beautiful memories captured in your own album.
So how about I share my updates :

added a title & had the kids write in a each of the bubbles what they were thankful for.

I journaled about Isaac's play on the back of scrapbook page

Used a page protector that I was able to include 9 small pictures to include more without the bulk on the other side I included pictures from Thanksgiving.

Ready For December Are You?

SO I am so happy to say I am ready to being this year's December Daily. I really love that this is being a beautiful tradition that I hope to continue for a very long time. Also what makes this even that more amazing is seeing so many wonderful people doing the same and all of us encouraging and inspiring one another to cherish our memories. What could be better.

Just to Let you Know Journal

Happy Sunday everyone. Today I wanted to share when I made with a prize from Two Peas that I received. As if it wasn't awesome enough to get goodies in the mail it was from my Favorite Studio Calico!!

I was over the moon as I had been wanting to get my hands on this : I was lucky enough to win a both the 5x5 & 4x8 Journals.

I had taken Ali Edwards- Storylogy Class which is a wonderful tool if you want to learn how to get more writing into your scrapbooking for me I want to be able to write for my children and so I decided to make this journal to keep these letters together for them & save it for them for when they are older.

So I gathered my supplies and this is what I came up with :

I really had a blast making this little journal and have already started writing on it. As you can use I painted it so to make my wood grain pop and used goodies from my Studio Calico kits. If you have any questions about what I used just leave me a comment. (but mostly Studio Calico goodies)

Updates - Project Life & December Daily

Hello all, coming back from celebrating my Bday weekend I thought today would be catch up time. My Bday gift yesterday was to spend all day in my P.J's with all my crafty stuff in bed. It was must wonderful.

I have plenty to share today so if you will get comfy and follow me as I share what I have been up to.

First up is my Project Life : Its been a long time since I've posted what I had been up to. I actually am working on my 2nd album which started in September which I am happy to say that for the most part I am caught up. I do have some journaling to do but other then that pictures are printed & in my book.

I actually have started ordering my supplies for my Project Life 2012 album. I plan on getting Clementine. I am still on the fence as if I should get the binder or not that is the only thing. Other then that I love the different options we have this go about.

Also I wanted to share something that my husband got me for my Bday which I love dearly which is a Life Planner from Erin Condren I had been wanting one of these FOREVER but with our super tight budget it wasn't something I felt I should do. UNTIL I saw Maryann post a special that was going on on Plum where I was able to purchase a voucher which basically cut it in half & a bonus coupon which made for me to get it at half price! Of course I had to jump on it. (OK so Hubby had to jump since I couldn't stop squealing)

It is personalized and I know not only will it help w/the super busy days ahead but it will be an important part of my Project Life as well as my December daily because it will be where I jot down my journaling to keep me on track.

Speaking of December Daily I wanted to share a couple of more pages I've completed. Yesterday Elle Studio posted a Christmas Kit & being it lwas my Bday I had to treat myself right? So I purchased the "Tis" the Season" kit & those will be the last pieces to my album if I keep adding I will not have any room for anything else. Although I must say so far I am loving this album as I have started earlier then last year to get it ready.

December Daily 2011 (Starting Foundation)

Once again Ali Edwards has started to bring us the awesome project of December Daily. For me it makes me smile extra big as it was actually the reason last year I thought of starting up again with my scrapbooking so you could say its a mini happy Anniversary for me too.

This year Studio Calico & Ali teamed up and had themselves one INSANE amazing Kit available . Unfortunately it was out of my super squeeze budget

Of course I had to do it again this year so I decided to gather up supplies I've had and a few I purchased to start to create my album. Today I will share what I have so far. I am waiting on a couple of goodies from Two Peas to be able to have the last bits to finish my album.

This year I've decided I'm not going to until the 31st. Instead until only the 25th. Also I thought why not use a clear album & so that is where I started. Picked up ideas from Pineterest as well as Ali and so far this what I have.

I have been working on right now on 1-12 even though even those are missing. I plan on using Ali's Dec Daily Overlays for the picture of the day. I am purposely having lots of pockets this year so I can keep any memorabilia and journaling.

This is the cover to my album :

Since the cover is clear I wanted to use something that felt like December & I knew I had to use one of Kerri Bradfords- December Additions - The Pages I used the snowflakes page & cut it w/Vellum. I guess w/the light you can see the adhesive but otherwise you can't see it in natural light. I used American Crafts for a simple title of this year. (If you do use them add a bit more adhesive to them so they can stick & be a bit more permanent.)

I saw got the Confetti page from Ashley at her Etsy store. I had purchased one before & thought I'd try to make one for my album. I don't sew so I figured a way to make my own w/no sewing.

I cut the number "8" with my Silhouette and the confetti as well. I'll have a separate post on how I created it as I plan on making a couple more of them.

So far I am pretty happy w/what I have & can't wait to have all the pages complete & waiting for the December fun to being.

Proud Day

That it was yesterday. After working hard for 3 yrs. of preparation for this day it finally happened. My Ram & classmate received their Confirmation. It was a wonderful day indeed.

So proud of my boy. Next we are off to kick butt in the H.S. entry exams. WOW time sure flies. Remember to pause & each every minute you can!

Hello, Anyone still there :)

I know I haven't been around too much here but as I knew this school year has been super busy plus doing my photography has been keeping me busy (so if you like I have a link to my Photography blog where you can see what I have been up to)

As for us the boys are super busy w/school this past week Ram took his graduation pictures. He told me the photographer said he had the best smile which I could so believe when he gives his real smile well it is super priceless. Monday will be his Confirmation which we are all so excited and proud about.

In other family happenings we were able to go to Pumpkin Picking this past weekend. Of course I have lots of pics but my printer does not seem to like my new emergency laptop (my old laptop gave up on me) so I am in the process of waiting for a disk so I can actually be able to use my printer again!

So what was I to do w/my pictures. I really did want to scrap them. Then I saw the latest kit from One Little Bird called Sweater Weather and I had to get it ASAP.

Happy Monday Everyone... Let me dust around here a bit. Sorry I disappeared for a few there. Its been a busy September that is for sure!

This past Saturday was my Ram's 13th bday. OH how time flies I'll tell you that for sure. Since it was his Bday he got all his wishes granted. My boy is the ULT foodie let me tell you so whatever he wanted to eat he did.

But in return mama got to take all the pictures she wanted. HEHEHEE...

So out of all these pictures I grabbed one and put it in a scrapbook page :

On this layout I used mostly goodies from my Studio Calico Goodies which I have been holding on to from my previous kits but hadn't had a chance to play with. I used some Bony Blue Mr. Huey which is FUN. Used to color the frame and spritz on the layout.

In the mix as well were American Craft & Sassafrass. I loved making this quick & easy layout. I wanted to picture to really stand out.

I also have a little thank you card to share w/ Paper Crafts & new visitors coming along because of the fun Blog Hop going on. I hope you've enjoyed your stop here & will come and visit again soon!

Bad Busy Ellie

Wow its been a week since I posted here! Sorry about that well this happened :

So we are trying to get everything together and that extra list of supplies that ALWAYS seems to come even after you swore you bought one of each thing at the store.

This year Sweets is getting a very special teacher, she was Ram's 1st grade teacher and she gave him the love of reading so I am hoping now that Sweets has her I hope she'll do the same for him in 3rd grade.

She sent the 1st newsletter and the first sentence said this year is going to be all about reading YAY. She was so amazing w/us and I feel so happy & blessed that Isaac will get to enjoy her! We Love you Mrs.Whalen.

Also Ram got the teachers he wanted which is a good thing good way to end his time at the school (OH MY GOSH he's going to H.S. next year! OK back to enjoying this year). This first quarter of the school year is suppose to read Romeo & Juliet. This is gonna get interesting :)

Oh I am so excited for the boys and so proud.

Now I have a giveaway don't I, but I had been so busy that I didn't post about it on my Photo Blog so if you don't mind I'm extending it just a bit more until Tuesday when I will pick my Winner :)

It was actually a bit hard, not because of what the prompt was but HOW long my list would be so instead of doing it directly I'll share some moments to showcase my list of Favorite Moments with People I love this Summer.

Some favorite Summer family moments were hanging w/my brother, seeing my youngest nephew w/my Sweets, My Beloved at a family gathering, Sassy's just for fun Photo Shoot and Ram being Ram upstate.. (I wanted to include a picture of my mom in there too but that is for another special post :) )

Each day I am more thankful then the day before for my amazing and beautiful Family & feel so blessed.

30 Days of Lists

Which brings me to sharing a page I did of myself & Ram. We were at IHop & w/my took out my
ipod ; said Ram make a funny face. Of course he's getting grown on me but he humored his mama. I used the Pocketbooth app (which I talked about on my Photo Blog) to take these pictures.

This is just 5x7 page but it was the perfect size to end my 1st Project Life Album. Part 2 is coming in some Happy snail mail today! It will start w/my September until the end of the year.

The stamp I used is of course from Rocking Studio Calico it was an exclusive one from one of the kits. I wanted to give the stamp a distressed feel so I didn't apply the ink too properly so it can have that effect. I also used my Mr. Huey Calico White & opened the bottle & dripped a few drops as well.

The cool circles were punched out from yes you guessed it Studio Calico it was a patterned paper I had been hoarding. Some Fabstrips from them as well. The sentiment is from Ali Edwards - "This One" I love that i get a cool set each month that is perfect for just what I want to say.

The little brad w/heart is from Stampin Up too bad they don't carry any more. To finish it off I got inspired by awesome Kristina & grabbed my gel pen & did faux stiching.
Oh almost forgot those little sentiment word stickers are from Authentique which has an AMAZING collection that I am so drooling over.

Crossing it Off my Bucket List

Happy Friday Bloggy Friends!

If you are in the East coast are you preparing for Hurricane Irene? It seems we are to get hit pretty seriously but we shall see. At my household we are prepared but am hoping it has a bigger bark then bite.

So Now what's up w/my title post. Well Each month I visit Hero Arts and say I am going to enter the challenge and never do well I am lying I did once but nothing came of it. So here I am giving it a go again.

I have a crafty bucket list (don't you) & one of them would be to be super lucky to be called one of the lucky Fresh Face winners. Wouldn't that just rock my crafty world. I'd probably be floating for weeks.

As I tell my kids you never know unless you try. So here I am. I went ahead and purchased one of the digital Die Cuts & since this theme was either for creature or cards for kids I thought of a Thank you card one of my kids could use.

I used "Its a Parade" & added different Hero Arts stamps to it. :

I used a few of my Hero arts stamps : You are the Best, Carte Postale, Dictionary Greetings & Eveyday Sayings.

I wanted to give the card a vintage feel and added little bits of elements from my stash that gave it that feel. Velvet ric rac, & twine. I also used a bit of crackle paint.

My son plans on giving this to his friend who is coming to celebrate w/him his 13th birthday & was a happy in his words this wasn't a "baby" card which made me giggle.

To be honest I had a stack of I guess "kiddie" cards so glad I made this one instead & will make a couple more "teenager" kind cards.

I guess I have to remember my boy is growing up too huh. Well if you are in the East coast I hope you stay safe & have a wonderful weekend!

Hello my awesome Bloggy friends!

How has your week been so far? I must say its been amazing, awesome and fun.. If you have had a chance to hop over to my Photo Blog you might have seen what I have been up to this week.

Today has been a busy getting things done kind of day and it feels good to cross off your list. The boys have less then 2 weeks to go back to school & working on that school list.

I wanted to share a little card I made which I used my sweet Silhouette to create it. I only used my Favorite Papertrey Ink stamp- Up,Up & Away for the clouds. The rest was cut using the Silhouette.

Pretty simple & fun. I could see this card being mass produced using different colors. That is what I have for today. As always thank you so much for stopping by. I'm looking into doing a giveaway soon. Working out the details so it should be soon.

My View

Good AM everyone,

Looking like another jam packed week in my house. 2 more weeks and school starts. Its going to be so BUSY & full there will baseball (of course) Conformation & dances, graduation registering Gabi for Kindergarten (you guys are gonna help me get through that one right?) OHHHH yes are you guys ready to go on this roller coaster of an upcoming school year.?

Well of course all these amazing moments I will be trying to capture and so that is what inspired my layout I am sharing w/you. It also was another layout I did for one of Shimelle's challenges she had.

My last couple of layouts I've been doing 8 1/2 x 11 pages. I find them easier and help me fill out the space quicker. especially when I am in a rush which seems to be always. This was the "3is the Magic Number" challenge so I added little bits of embellishments that were in groups of 3's. This picture was from one of my prints from Postalpix. Love them I added most of them into my Project Life album but wanted to use some for scrapbooking

Does that little camera look familiar? Its the camera from awesome Amy Tan. I had cards w/the cut out on the Silhouette she had but was lucky enough to get my hands on her stamp set before it sold out. LOVE It So I had to use it on my layout.

Project Life Update.. Yes you read that right

I know bad Ellie its been FOREVER since I've been trying to update. I had a video got easered. Then I tried recording w/my ipod but I hate that the view is so narrow so I've just ended up taking pictures. So here I am today sharing finally.

If I would have taken pictures of EVERYTHING well this post would be a never ending post of picture. For starters I thought I'd share a part of my last weekend which was super fun filled.

I wanted to showcase another way you could incorporate lots of pictures without it being overwhelming. For this weekend I decided to use a page protector that I also use for my One Little World album each slot you are able to fit a 2 1/2 by 3 picture (more or less) which gives enough opportunity to fit lots of pictures as I did w/out it looking to overcrowded.

Another little something that I did that I thought was fun was I had drank a Fuji bottle of water. Actually it was my 1st time having it as my brother bought it for me as he was raving about it, I thought that funny so I said well I guess it needs to go into my album doesn't it. I carried the empty bottle w/me and once I came home carefully peeled it and stuck it on a kraft cardstock. I made it a bit larger so I was able to journal around it. I also cut the Shake Shack bag we had our burgers (another first but SO will NOT be the last) eating and receipt and placed it in my album. As well as a part of the holder to my iced coffee while I waiting for my brother & metocard that got me into the city.

Its so funny how doing this album has made me more of a "treasure" hunter. I look for little things that will later on when I go back trigger the experience of what I was doing in that moment. I really never did do that before I of course took pictures but now I look for trigger points that will freeze the memories.

I actually used the Ali Edward -Tech.Tuesday stamp -This one. I say it each month I get a stamp in the mail but seriously this has to be one of my favorites. Its full of quotes, sayings that go perfect with Project Life & pages I've been doing lately.

Well I am off to print off that missing journal that is on the first picture as I didn't have ink AGAIN but my hubby rocks and brought me some therefore I can finish that week & work on this week. I can't believe its already Friday!

Less then 3 weeks and school starts. WOW. I have loved every bit of Summer yes I have. Hope you have enjoyed your day. As always thanks for stopping by.

Oh How Time Flies

Happy Happy Thursday. Have I mentioned that Thursday has to be my favorite day of the week. I must say Thursdays rock around here. We call it Library Thursday as that is what we do as well as other little fun things. Today in the mail was a 50 mm 1.8 lens which of the little test shots I took well I am gonna have some FUN.

Speaking of which I'd love to share w/you a little place I've made in another blog where I'll be posting stuff about photography since well I really am enjoying it and would love to share what I find and challenges I'll be doing.

What I hope is that by me doing challenges and learning I'll be able to share w/you & maybe it will help you. I am a Super newbie at this DSLR but am eager to see how my progress contuines as I learn more. So if you would like to see what I am doing just stop over HERE & leave a little comment if you please :)

Now that I've "plugged" my other little thing How about a layout! I created this for one of Shimelle's challenges she had over the weekend. In this challenge we had to use a picture that wasn't taken this year. To me that is the most easiest challenge since I have been too gulitiy of taking a picture and that's about it.

This picture I used is of my Ram when he turned 6! He's about to turn 13 in less then a mth! yeah.. took me a while huh?

For this layout I also used stuff that I had for a while as well as a few new goodies. My favorite thing on this layout as to be the Ali Edwards stamp. It is from This One. I LOVE it. Its all quotes/saying in her handwriting. What more could you ask for.

For the letters I used Jenni Bowlin ink in : Spice Tin and then added a bit of Frost White Colorbox ink.

For the little journaling I used Washi tape and wrote about the picture. Simple and to the point but one sweet memory. I am so proud of my Ram and upcoming school year is going to be super exciting not only will he be turning 13 doing his Conformation BUT at the end of the year he will be graduating. Be still my heart.. Time sure flies when your having fun. Love you my Ram.

Happy Tuesday! Hope all is well. I have been working on videos I think that I have taken the video like 15 times already 16th time has to be the charm right? Ha.

Well today I wanted to share one of the cards in one of the issues that Paper Crafts has out right now.

Here is my card that is included in the issue :

For this card I used one of my favorite stamps that I seem to be grabbing lots lately. Which is Hero Arts- Envelope Pattern. It always just gives the perfect touch. Don't you agree.

For the sentiment I used my Papertrey Ink : Everyday Button Bits & embellishment (tree) from K&Company.

I also have another card published but I'll share that one later in the week. Just wanted to stop by and share this.

Simple As That : Enjoy the View

This was one of my views while in the city yesterday w/my brother at Central Park. It was such an awesome day.

I got to spend time w/him and we had such a blast its been a while since we have had time just us two having fun!

This little picture was taken w/my new little toy I got which is an Ipod 4. I finally upgraded from the Ipod Gen. 1 only because one night last week I was watching QVC late at night and saw they had an option of having a monthly plan and for us on a budget WELL that is the most awesome thing EVER!

So today it came in the mail w/loads of bells and whistles (extra goodies) So happy to have upgraded FINALLY ha.

Moxie Challenge :Fanatical About Botanical Challenge

Afternoon Bloggy Friends;

How has your Monday been? I had so much planned but cleaning and catching up got the best of me/us here. Finally taking a break and so I said why not play along and get a little Moxie and stamp a card for the current Botanical Challenge.

For my card I used my New Stampin Up Sunflower background stamp. It is becoming a rapid favorite for me. Before I stamped it with some Jenni Bowlin ink I used my Mr.Huey sprays on the card and then stamped the image for the effect I have.

For the sentiment I grabbed a Stampin Up oldie but goodie my Fifth Avenue set and stamped the sentiment . Matted it and added a few half pearls w/the satin ribbon.

Melt My Heart :Simple as That

Happy Sunday!

Before I go doze off after a LONG weekend of travel & family fun I wanted to share my Simple as That picture for today.

We were upstate this weekend to celebrate my little niece's 3rd birthday and little nephew's 1st bday. We sure had a blast.

The drive was long but we have gotten good at making sure the kids are comfy & have fun. ESPECIALLY the oldest one.

This is a shot of my Ram that I took during our trip. Played a bit on Photoshop Elements and got this shot. I also added from one of the new Brushes that Ali Edwards has available over at Designer Digitals : Stayations which is perfect for our pictures since that's just what we have been having this Summer.

Oh yeah one smile and I am mush..but shhhhh don't tell him I told you. My baby is turning 13 next month GASP where does time fly :)

Feel so blessed for having him and his siblings. Being their mama is something I cherish every breath and moment of my life.

I made a digi page :

Super simple but I think its fun. I took this picture this week while we were having one crazy rain storm. This was just as it was getting started. We were suppose to go to the park but rain came along. So Sassy put her rain boots and off to have some fun outside we went.

This kit that I mostly used is a freebie from Persnickety Prints. It has so many fun little elements and fun papers I had to use it.

This is a super fast share today as it's a Sweets & Mama day. Today Isaac picked for us to watch Transformers in 3D .so off to get ready I go. He's so cute he woke up this AM and got dressed even though it isn't until late afternoon that we are leaving.

Is that a Scrapbook Page?

Why didn't anyone tell me its been so long since I posted a page. I've been busy doing mini albums & other projects but not a full size scrapbook.

This month Shimelle over at 2 peas showed us how to make a layout with (7) 4x6 pictures! I know doesn't that should insane? I know to me I was a bit nervous until I tried it myself.

Are you like me that takes so many pictures and later on don't know what to grab first. That is why I really am loving this layout and actually I am looking forward to trying making another layout like this.

Here is the layout I created :

I had taken a series of all black & white pictures of the kids outside and was thinking of how I was going to be able to display them. I love the feel they give when you view them. Its as if you captured that moment in time. For this page I used supplies I had for a while such as Fancy Pants - Love that collection - Its the Simple Things (being its my motto lately) Studio Calico of course. Basic Grey Felt Stickers. Maya Road lace. I also used Ali Edwards stamps for the inside journaling page. For the tag I found a quote that was on one of an old patterned paper. I cut it out and put it on the tag. I really love what it says.

Well its SUPER early and I am going to try to actually go back to bed Ha. I actually want to see if I can get in a 5 mile run. yes 5 miles. I've done it before and its been a while too long actually I just have been doing my 5K's time to level up!

Week in the Life -My Day 7 My Thoughts...

Being able to grow from the experience and record little moments I wouldn't have usually was gift enough. I have been picture happy this Summer but this went into it much more deep. Time is super precious and goes by so quickly as do the days but this helped in a way slow down time.

Each day I am thankful for my kids and Husband. We do have our moments that are hard but what helps is knowing our love we have for each other and faith is beyond anything I could have imagined.

Being able to do document in extra detail a week to intertwine w/other projects I am doing is just something I have cherished. I know I might sound like a broken record but for me right now this of most importance.

I was thinking of how my kids are growing so fast and of how our Anjelique would have been going into school this year. Of course it did make me sad but my husband reminded me what an amazing gift she was and how much we have all gained and learned from her short life and so because of her and the gift she contuines to be in our lives I will live each day to the fullest and smile.

With each smile that is given to me by her siblings and love from her daddy I will remember to let go of the petty things and hold on to the simple little things because they will fill my heart w/the most joy and peace.

Simple as That : Week in the Life -My Day 6

Hope you are enjoying your Sunday as for me its another quiet day. I wanted to mix my Simple as That w/my Day 6 Week in the Life with you.

Day 6 was all about my Sassy. The 1st picture happened because I usually do a workout in the AM either I run or I do a Zumba workout. This AM I had told her Hey I'm gonna go Zumba which usually means she runs to the living room and is my little "cheerleader" and usually joins in but this AM she looked at me and said Oh good luck w/that and keep playing with her barbies. I looked at her and said OH really.. I went put the game on and then went to put a few things away before I got my workout in and while I did I heard the workout begin and as I went to see what happened. The 1st pictures tells it all. That's my Sassy girl!

The 2nd picture is her in her element. She plays dress up and barbies all day long and this was outfit #4 She took a sash from one of her going out dresses and made a belt. That's my little fashion mogul.

I love that I have been able to catch little moments which tell the story of our everyday and each one person in my family.

Week in the Life -My Day 5

Good AM. Sharing my Day 5 with you which ended up being less then picture happy as I wasn't not feeling to well, but the pictures that I did get made me smile :

For my pictures I started off w/one of my favorite breakfast are you saying WHAT in Heaven's name is that. Well its the most awesome tasting thing EVER. It consists of 1 little Laughing Cow- (low fat swiss cheese) and 1 tsp. of Apricot Jam from Trader Joe's and 5 Ak-Mak Crackers (I found then at Trader Joes) its so filling and I love them because its 5 pts Weight Watcher Points for the whole thing.

Ok so it looks semi funny but TRUST me you'll be wanting to eat this daily! I also include a banana and I am full until almost late in the afternoon. I had to get my Ram in my pics because its seems I can only get that boy either playing baseball or by luck. I decided this would be a day I spent w/him so I took a pic of him sleeping Ha (he gave me the look when I showed him that pic)

Later in the afternoon I told him to get dressed and lets go out, of course he said where are we going, I remember when he was younger he never asked just got up and got excited.. Oh just about to be a teen thing huh? (13 in September! EEK)

I love Groupon.com and I had gotten a deal a while back for movie tickets for $2.00 and so I used those up for our little trip.

We were going to see Harry Potter but turned out that the online times and the theaters were messed up. We could have watch Captain America which I really thought he was going to choose but instead he got all excited and said Lets watch Cars 2. Of course I thought he was kidding but NOPE he wanted to watch it and so we did.

It turned out to be a cute movie and my nephew who is about to turn 4 is the BIGGEST Cars fan but I don't really thing he would have enjoyed it as much as he had the 1st in my opinion because it was more plot and talking but it was good.

We headed home and for dinner we had Turkey burgers and just relaxed for the rest of the evening. Today is Saturday and its looking like a very,very low key day. Ram left to my SIL until tomorrow and Sweets is still sleeping (he is so his father's child) Ms. Sassy is off in Barbie world as for me.

My back is feeling funny, wanted to go for a run but don't want to push it.
Hoping for some happy mail although I tracked it and its looking like maybe Tuesday (my new memory for my camera) I wanted to head out w/the kids to try it out but we shall see. Hope you enjoy your Saturday and thank you so much for stopping by!

Week in the Life -My Day 4

Happy Friday. WOW My Week is coming to a close. Yesterday was a not feeling too hot kind of day so I only have like 3 pictures, but for Day 4 I was a bit picture happy and hope you don't mind me sharing some with you.

So my day starts off by waking up and see that man w/that TV yeah that's Hubby. He works nights and comes home and instead of coming to bed right he turns on his XBOX to play a round of Call of Duty.

I tell him does he release his work stress from the night when he plays. His answer YES.. YES it does. :) Then we have my Sweets eating his cereal. We like those because they are the perfect serving and the kids can take it and serve themselves(well the boys)

Then we finally got a chance to get to the Farmer's Market where we got some yummy fruit and I got some yummy dutch apple sweet donuts.. MAN where they Good.

I should have bought more! If you had stopped by my blog before you might have known about the free bowling for kids I had mentioned well we went back again kids bowl free during the Summer. This time Daddy got into the game.

As you can see My sweets is one silly boy! We headed after some fun bowling to lunch for of course one of our favorite foods Pizza! Once again Sweets being that silly boy! After we got home I noticed I didn't have anymore ink for the printer & being Hubby had gotten some reward coupons from Staples well off I went again w/Sassy. after a quick stop to the Supermarket to get a few things.

Sassy got to a ride in her favorite cart! Came home and ate, bathed and ended the day.... I have more pics but I'll save those for my album.

Week in the Life - My Day 3

Hey Hey! Wow Thursday already...sigh.. For me tomorrow is going to be my last "Week in the Life..sigh" but at least I get to relive it by sharing with you. I also love that I have gotten to peek into some of your daily life (for those that are doing this as well )

So are you ready for my Day 3 Which was Monday :

Monday always are super busy around here. Guess that is what Monday is about right?

Started out w/our toothpaste. Why is it that kids have to squeeze the poor thing? Pic was my attempt to trying to fix it :)

Being that I mention my Iced Coffee daily(on twitter) it was only right to take a pic of my beloved Coffee magic. Then over to Sassy who loves to play w/her barbies and usually what she does is go behind her "kitchen" to play. I love to hear her little play talk. Monday is usually when I clean and had to use one of my favorite things to clean.

Mistoln is a STAPLE in most Dominican Homes TRUST ME & it smells SO awesome each time I use it I smile and it brings me back to my childhood and now my kids get to grow up to it which makes me super smile.

I was surprised with some fun goodies from Stampin Up. I've used that stamp on my cover for my Week in the Life (which I will share once the album is done) Another happy moment was when Gabi was playing she "accidently" whistled and so she spent the next 2 hrs. trying again.. She concluded that she needs to lose a tooth in order to really whistle (thank you Little Bear) After a full day the weather decided to help us cool down and so the last picture for this day was of my outside window.

I must say thank you so much for stopping and seeing what my week has been looking like so far this week. Off I go to check what everyone else has been up to!

Week in the Life -My Day 2

Happy Wednesday. Yesterday was so much fun, full of fun with the family. Today I am sharing my Week in the Life Day 2 (which was Sunday) No worries you'll see what we did today later in the week.
I also was able to record my Project Life! YAY.... BUT I have to edit the video BOO Ha.

Bet your wondering if I really am ever going to share what the heck I am up to with that huh? How about you? Are you doing Project Life if so how are you doing w/it. I've said it before and I'll say it before it really is wonderful and one of the most meaningful projects I've done.

So now before I keep rambling on how about I share what we we did Saturday. First off I must say did you know you need a different memory card for DSLR. Well guess what I found out the hard way. Seems the memory card I have in my camera can't support (as my brother told me) all the stuff I am putting into it and so to compensate it erases what pictures I might have taken beforehand!

Instead of having a LOAD of pictures ( I think I had just about 100) of all the fun we had on Sunday I ended up w/just 13 (yeah remember my road trip I thought it was fluke w/the memory card now I finally know why it happened. I have a new memory card on its way that will support all my picture taking since we are going on another mini road trip soon!)

So this is what I was able to capture on Saturday (YEAH for jounarling)

As you can see I was able to capture some moments from our stop at our Annual Church Feast which was a blast! Sassy has 2 new little pet goldfish that she won and since Sunday night has been checking on them constantly. Oh my gosh I hope those little goldfish do well :)

Also we were able to stop at Sonic which since my trip to Utah 3 years ago I had been dreaming of visiting again but unfortunately we didn't have one near us.

When I found out there was one by my Mother in Law I had to tell hubby to take us there. We had tried before to go but they had just opened and the line to get in was INSANE (talking more then 45 mins. wait) but on Sunday we got in after a 5-10 min wait. SO yummy just as I remembered.. Cherry Limeade YUM. Ha..

Threads of My Week in The Life With a Splash of Exploring

Happy Monday everyone. How was your weekend. Ours was amazing fun & everything else you could imagine! I decided that this year I would join Ali Edward doing My Week in The Life. This was my 1st go at it since it seems this Summer has become a document my Life kind of Summer.

Thought it would be fun to have a week that really would document every bit (or most) of what really goes on around here.

I actually started my "week" on Saturday as I really wanted as I knew it would be jam packed of 1st things/tries for us.

I wanted to Document this in a different way & since I REALLY am into Mini albums right now I thought why not make one for this week.

I was inspired by Ali's Scrapbook on the Road class she has which is BEYOND amazing. As well as meshing some things with Shimelle's class- Explore

So these are the "bones" to my Week in the Life Album which also will be the picture of my Prompt for today's Explore class.

As you can see there is paint, fabrics,and lots of textures for my album which is all new and fun to me. I'll be sharing a few pictures of our Week so far on my next post today (YES 2 posts today) as I am waiting for "quiet time" around here to record Ha..

Lets see how lucky I get with that if not I'll just create a slide to share what I've been up to (YAY Project Life is all caught up!)

Simple As That - Summer Steps

Happy Sunday Everyone, are you enjoying your weekend? We had our adventure yesterday and more Summer memories in the Volt.

Today I wanted to share a picture I took this week after we stared to have a big heat wave here in NY. What to do when its so insanely hot & you start to get cranky ?

Go outside where the breeze makes it all better since you have a huge tree in front of your house, plus throw in some juice pouches and bubbles = Instant Happiness

I really have been having such a blast w/my babies this Summer and I can't believe August is right around the corner already! Never the less we are going to enjoy every bit of what we have left that's for sure.

Happy HOT Friday! Whoot Whoot Did I just whoot for Friday yes you are in the right blog Ha.. This weekend if all goes as planned its going to be SUPER DUPER JAM PACKED w/so much fun the kids are gonna burst kind of weekend! My camera is going to be super busy because I am going to be the Mama click-happy :)

Trying to Stay Cool..

How about you? Its just about 100 in NY today. Tomorrow we will "enjoy" actually reaching that temp.

Therefore being in a room that is carpeted and little (my craft/playroom) is NOT where I want to be. Instead I've been bathing the kids & playing outside the house THANK YOU big Tree where there is a nice shade and AWESOME breeze & bubbles.

So please forgive me for such a late in the day post. You still like me right? Any hoot I did say I had some shares yesterday right? So lets get to it.

This layout I created about the boat ride we took while we did our little 2 day road trip. MAN, I wish I was in that boat right now there was such a wonderful breeze. I used my Silhouette to cut the letters as well as some Thickers. The background paper I used Basic Grey. I wanted to keep this simple so it would showcase the picture. I added little embellishments to add a little flare.

Also here is a little collage of picture of my SMASH album. I am SO happy I had my book w/me when we went on the trip being Ram lost the camera he had and my 1st day pics had gotten erased so having this really helped me to still document our trip detail by detail :

Its The Little Things

Today's post is just to share on what I am up to. I have loads of stuff going on which all are wonderful. No matter how busy it gets we always have to remember and stop and just enjoy the little things. Yesterday we got a chance to head on over to the beach. Although we didn't have any bathing suits,towels as we were just planning on going by the board walk, wet our feet and head home.

Of course that is not what turned out to be. It turned into a full on few hours of giggling fun. This would be Sassy's first real time at the beach as the other times she was too small to really enjoy it.

As I stood back (of course you know I had my camera) I watched my boys, Sassy & Hubby have the most awesome laughs & fun and just felt so blessed to have my awesome family.

I got to thinking of how even w/budget crunches around here that is not important because what we have is worth more then ANYTHING as long as we are giving all our Love & attention to our kids & they keep those as memories of what they looked forward to enjoying more of in the Summer well I could not ask for anything more.

Today we are going to take it easy, we have movie day in the works as before heading to the beach we had to take Sassy for a check up and she got 2 shots and she did AWESOME not even a semi tear (thus why we went to the beach ha) but one of her arms is sore poor sweet girl so we are going to take it easy. Also this humidity is acting crazy & my asthma is not happy about it so inside day it is.

How is everyone! Hope you had a wonderful weekend. We enjoyed our weekend as well. We celebrated yesterday as it was National Ice Cream Day. Did you get a chance to celebrate? Can I tell you I'm a tad obsessed with Groupon.com I only mention it because well that is how we got our ice cream fix yesterday!

That was my little cup. I enjoyed some really good low cal ice cream I got a serving of Hot Chocolate Ice cream.. YUMO. So what did you do this weekend?

Trying Again.

Happy Friday Everyone.

Its been one busy Week and today is no different. I have been working on something and wondering if I should try again. I thought well I always tell my kids to try no matter what so here I am taking my own advice.

I've re-opened my Etsy store again. The last 2 times well it didn't go so well. So I'm going to believe 3rd times the charm right?

As you know I'm a SAHM so I am always looking for a way to try and bring an extra income so wouldn't it be nice to be able to do so by doing something I love.

We never know unless we try right.. Here is a peek of what I Created :

Moxie Stamp It Challenge- Giving it a Go

So last night I was looking at the latest Moxie Challenge and to be honest I was having one of those days when well its not your best. For me it was actually not a happy crafty day. I was sitting saying what am I doing. I really would love to explore more adventures and opportunities.

Try as it may its not working as I planned so it got me thinking. Why do I continue to do this?- Because it makes me happy. This is something I want to make grow and do it because I do love it.

I have some plans coming up that I want to try. Give it another go around as the first time it didn't work to well. I'll see what happens. That is my own personal Moxie Challenge to myself.

It was a last minute card but it has all the elements I love. Distressing,Inking, Brads,Buttons and punches. Have to remember why I love what I do. Speaking of Dreams coming true.

Happy Sunday everyone. Hope you had are having a wonderful weekend. For us we had a wonderful little road trip. We saw SO much in just 2 days.

Today's Simple as that share is a picture I captured while the kids were "bird" watching in front of the Capital in Washington D.C.

I love how my babies are looking at a Mama & her babies. Sigh pure bliss.

Today is going to be low key day as our past 2 days was super fast paced but SO much fun. I had SO many fun pics BUT my memory card went wacky and I only now have a few from yesterday! :( BUT good thing that the places we did go to I made sure to grab pamphlets and anything I could had put them into my Smash Album so HA.. I still will be able to scrapbook :)

Week 2 - Summer Card Camp

Happy Wednesday everyone. Its a SUPER hot one today in NY. Its too hot to take Sassy out because of her asthma so we have been keeping cool inside. Tonight we will see if we go for a walk if the humidity calms down to get some ice cream. Which brings me to one of my cards today.

This is the 2nd week in Summer Card Camp which is such a BLAST. I love it. This week we had this as our color challenge :

Here is my first card :

So as you can see I had ice cream on the mind! For this I used my super Fun Silhouette to cut the ice cream. On the cone I used my Papertrey Ink stamp - A Little Argyle for the "cone effect". I thought of how hot it is and in this heat what would happen if we didn't gobble this yummy treat right up. Right melt so I grabbed my Crystal effect and that's how I got the melting. For the Cherry I took a glitter dot and colored it with a Copic marker. The sentiment was done with my Cosmo Cricket Tiny Type Stickers.

After I finished that card I was putting stuff away when a set I hadn't used in forever fell out and it was as if it said HEY why not make a card with me. So that's just what I did :

I love this set and as I was using it I said WHY haven't I pulled it out. I also am happy that I get another awesome year with it as Stampin Up kept it in the new catty. For this card I used my Colorbox inks as they stay wetter longer and I was able to blend and "color" on the stamp to achieve the coloring. I used my Trio Butterfly from Martha Stewart for the tiny butterflies. I added a drop Stickles for the middles. The sentiment came from Papetrey Ink. For the final touch I sprayed the cardstock with Maya Mists.

I love to make just because cards because to me its always fun to mail a card to someone when they least expect it. Its fun to open up something other then a bill right?

Hello all! Hope you all had a wonderful & safe 4th. We sure did and we are really looking forward to this week as well as this is the weekend that my kids have been looking forward to a we are going to do a little 2 day road trip. CAN NOT wait!

Today I wanted to share a little page I worked on in my SMASH Book. For this I used a template from Cathy Z which I really love. they come in 8 1/2 x 11 & 12 x12 . I purchased the 8 1/2 x11 as I felt I could use that size and incorporate into my 12x12 pages if I wanted to. This time around I shrunk it down to 5x7 to fit into my book. I added accents from Echo Park, & 7 Gypsies and the cardstock I printed the frame on is from Papertrey Ink

This is what was on the journaling (I used Ali Edward's font which is AWESOME) :

I also made a little doodle book for Sassy as we are going to take a 2 day road trip and she loves to color and since I'll probably be bring my Smash book with me I thought I'd make her something to work on while we are on road.

For Gabi's book I decided to go ahead and use my Studio Calico goodies. I love the patterned of this paper as it looks like fun doodles. I wanted to keep the cover simple also its gonna be tucked in my bag and didn't want to add too much stuff but just enjoy to make it cute for her. I used printer paper for the inside pages I cut it in half and punched the holes to add to her book. Also I added the O-rings so I can add more paper when she is done and we can use it for day trips as well. (AND I can take her doodles and put them in our Project Life album as well)

Happy Sunday everyone & if you are in the states Happy 4th of July Weekend. We are having such a blast. Yesterday was our Annual Family 4th BBQ. There is a pool, music, food and family could it get any better?

So being I am Mrs.Camera I was called to "try" to get a picture which actually turned to be one one of the highlights for me yesterday my MIL trying to get a picture with all her grandchildren.. FUNNY doesn't even start to explain this, but beautiful to see.

My MIL is one of the most amazing and loving people I know. She is always there when you need her and more love then one could even imagine could be given. I feel so blessed in having her in my life. As you see this picture you'll see that one of the things that makes her glow are her grandbabies.

Another share of another page I had made. This one is of Sweets on his 4th birthday. I remember going to our favorite pizza shop and just enjoying a beautiful day in March & Sassy only being 2 1/2 mths old.

For this layout I used mostly American Crafts again since I had it out while working on my previous layout. I used the fabric swatch booklet from American Crafts as well on this to give different textures as well as again used my Thickers for the title.

So starts the weekend and I must say for our 1st week of Summer vacation I am loving every moment. As I've been saying Summer ROCKS :) I'll be back for my Sunday Simple as That share.

Capturing the memories..

Happy Thursday everyone. Hope your week is going wonderful. We are having fun if I do say so myself. Yesterday took the kids to bowl which was a hit. I had gone online to Kids Bowl Free where you sign up your kids and they get to bowl 2 free games a day for the Summer! How cool is that? We have to rent the shoes but its a good deal if you ask me!

So we added that to our weekly fun for Wednesdays. Any hoot today I have a layout I made using some pictures that have been screaming to be scrapped for 3 years. At least I finally got to it right?

These pictures were of Sassy when she turned 1 years old. Sharing her birthday cake with Sweets. It makes me sigh... I love that they still have such a close relationship its so cute!

I pulled out my American Crafts goodie I had been hoarding. See I'm working on not keeping and petting everything but actually using it. Feels nice actually Ha. I used mostly from the Peechy Keen collection as well as some accents from Pebbles which I love as well.

Summer Camp is FUN!

Well Stamping Summer Camp is what I'm talking about! I am so excited and just beyond happy that I am joining the fun.

A sweet wonderful awesome person made it possible for me to be involved in the class as I had stated we are in super squeeze budget mode & so no more crafty classes & goodies (well expect the reg. kit from Studio Calico since I have a membership) until after the kids go back to school so we can make the most of our Stayaction this Summer.

Nothing is more important then hearing those giggles & seeing those beautiful smiles.

The class started yesterday & I must admit I thought well it can not be so I will do my little pout and just carry on but God is good & made it so I get to have some Summer Stamping Fun!

For this card I pulled out my Stampin Up cardstock to make this card. For the stamps I used my Papertrey Ink : Up, Up & Away, Birthday Bash Sentiments and Framed. The Twine I used is from Divine Twine. For the die cut balloons I used my Silhouette.

I actually had to create a birthday card so off in the mail it is going today! I hope you are enjoying your Tuesday. Another day of adventures w/the kids today off to the supermarket. We are going to make some

Simple as That : Look it's ME!

Happy Monday! I'm a bit late in posting this weeks share for Simple as That.. We had a nice family weekend. Loving Summer just enjoying each others company and giggling could it get any better then that!?

So usually I post pics of my sweet and cute babies Yes Mama is Bias ...but today I thought why not share a pic of me.

I have lost 40 pounds SQUEAL since January;(through Weight Watchers & Running) thought it was time for a new hairstyle and well since funds are super tight around here I went on youtube and did it myself ... Yes you read that right I cut my own hair :) yes I am a bit crazy... :)

So there you have it ME! I am off as I am going to see if I take the kids to Red Mango. MAN that place is beyond YUMO .

School's Out!!

YAY YAY YAY.. I know am a super proud mama of a 3rd & 8th grader come September. WOW. Time sure flies doesn't it. Seems I've been saying that allot lately doesn't it?

Well since Summer is in full swing I decided to finish up the boys reading logs for them as they have a nice list of books that will be read & reports done on.

Have to love Summer homeworks Ha. I must say Sweets Math packet will keep him busy that's for sure. Ram is just as busy. Good to keep their brains working right!

I used the same bases I did for the mini scrapbook I had made but turned it to Book logs :

I used Studio Calico Patterned paper from the State Fair collection. I used their favorite colors creating them. The letter stickers were from October Afternoon, Studio Calico as well as Authenique which is a new company and really am looking forward to getting a chance to get the patterned paper.
For the inside pages I used Word on my computer to create. I printed them on Paptrey Ink cardstock. I included enough for 20 books as well as two pages for any little notes they might want to put in there.

When they go into school in September not only will they have their reports but as an extra document to show their recording of what they read. extra credit Rocks.

I also wanted to show you the box of cookies that went to school well more like a peek at them and a view of the tags I made :

For the tags I cut them tracing an oak tag that I had which I actually used to make 2 for Ram to give out. The rest were made using Stampin Up cardstock, Studio Calico Patterned paper (State Fair) & a piece of October Afternoon for one of the tags.

Ribbons were from Stampin up and Papertrey Ink. The stamps I used were from Papertrey Ink. It was this years customer appreciation free stamp. I actually LOVE it but haven't used it as much as I should (making metal note on that)

Before I ramble on too much today how about a pic of my babies on the last day of school yesterday. I went to pick the boys up & I took this picture after we ate lunch and we were about to catch the bus home.

Dream, Play, Live

Hello all. WOW its Friday meaning SCHOOL is OUT!!! I can't believe how fast this school year went by for the boys.

Next year will be a VERY full year for Ram as it will include his Conformation at the start of the school year and at the end it will be Graduation. Gasp. BUT I'm not going to rush time instead I will enjoy every moment and make as many wonderful memories w/my babies as I can before school starts again.

Life goes by so quickly and I can not say how blessed I am to be part of seeing them grow. So proud of my boys.

Now before I get too sappy here how about I share that other Digi page I was working on. I played with another kit from Paper Creatif This kit I used is Sports Club Golf. Now I know you all must be saying wait did you say Golf?

Well this kit is awesome to use for any sports layout you might have. For me I love the bold colors it has. This is what I came up with :

I took this picture at Sweet's Championship and I love his expression on his face. Well it seems as its going to be another muggy semi rainy day here but being its Friday and last day of school we have to do something right, so off to celebrate we shall go.

Hello awesome Bloggy Friends.

Hope you are having a wonderful week. As for us we are enjoying the last days of school and calming down from what was more then exciting Baseball season. Sweets' team didn't take the Championship but they played like Champions.

I am SO proud of Sweets and his team. He is already excited to play next year! This Summer we will be visiting the batting cage. Who knows maybe I'll step into the cage. NOW that would be something huh.

For today I wanted to share how I actually have had a chance to team up with Juls from Papier Creatif and she sent over some AMAZING kits for me to play with.

Today's Layout comes from her collection called Papier Romantique which is full of beautiful papers. I decided to make another layout with Ms. Sassy since I have so many pictures I've been wanting to make pages I decided to add another digi page into the collection.

Aren't the colors just so much fun? I have another layout in the works and will share that one w/you tomorrow. Also Juls is looking for other people that might be interesting in working with her so if you are interested head on over to her blog and let her know!

Final Countdown...

Happy Monday everyone!

This is the last week for the boys in school. It went by so fast I can't believe it already. It was a year of lots of learning and growing. So happy to be able to see it all happen. Feel so blessed.

Today I am sharing a little scrapbook album I made for Sweets Teacher its a little 3x6 album which I hope she will love:

To make this scrapbook album all it took was 1 12 x 12 page (Used from Studio Calico- State Fair Collection).

I actually taught this class at the library a month ago and thought wouldn't it be a good idea to make a little scrapbook for Sweets teacher.

I plan on making the kids a couple of these and letting them fill them up for the summer with our planned stayation destinations adventures.

I think it would be fun to have a bunch by the end of the summer and relive those fun moments come Winter again, but who's rushing that right?

Well I am off as I have some baking to do so I can finish putting the teacher gifts together and send them on their way tomorrow.

I know the rest of the week the boys will really just be too busy saying their goodbyes instead of wanting to take goodies in.

2011 Baldwin Little League CHAMPIONS- PIRATES !!!!

So proud of the boys.. It was a wonderful season indeed. Now as for my Sweets his final Champion game was suppose to be tonight but they called and said its being pushed until TOMORROW.

They are killing me but that just means one more day of baseball right?

That's all I can say to describe what is going on in my little baseball world right now.. As of last night I am beyond excited and proud to say these two awesome boys and their teams :

ARE BOTH HEADING TO THEIR LEVEL CHAMPIONSHIPS!!!! I am beyond myself.. Sweet's Game is on Saturday & Ram's is on Sunday..

I am happy to report that after this weekend I will be able to post a little bit more as I just am also done with the 40 layouts I had been working on for the albums (2 albums) I had been commissioned to do. \

You would think I wouldn't want to scrap myself after that right but NOPE I have loads of ideas I can't wait to do for my own pages.

School ends next week so I am also busy planning my last minute gifts for the amazing teachers that did so much for my boys this year.

Stuck between Tacky Sticky Spray & Patterned Paper

Hey all!

Just wanted to say Hey I'm here just SUPER busy. I am working on a scrapbook album I was commissioned to do.

Trying to work on it so I can have it done by the end of the week which I will but in doing so I am putting a pause on my own stuff .

Which is just fine with me as I love to be able to do help create a place where families are able to relive their own memories.

I feel honored to be able to do so. I did want to post something I had made, so how about a little card that didn't get picked up.

Well as you can see my little cutie here was for a Ground Hog Day but he didn't make it to his final destination so he'll be keeping me company a bit longer. He's from Paper Smooches-Birthday Buddies The clouds are from Papertrey Ink's Up.Up and away. I love those clouds . The bubble was cut using my Silhouette. Colored him in using my Copics which needed to get some loving.

Also a little reminder - I was only contacted by one of the winners of the GC for LeBox Boutique so Jenny if you are out there please contact me by Thursday or I will have to pick another winner.

Well I best be going and keep working and complete a few more pages before the boys come home. Sweets playoff game has still not been able to be finished because of the weather and guess what there is a chance for rain this afternoon! They are never going to find out who is going to go to their championship!

If they win Saturday will be even MORE interesting as BOTH my boys would be playing for a Championship?! EEEEK Different fields and probably at the same time WHAT is this MAMA to do..Ha..

Simple as That : We are Headed to the Championship

WE DID IT! The boys played an AMAZING game yesterday winning 6-0. Our pitcher threw a No hitter. It was rainy, semi chilly but we did it. So proud of Ram & his team. So of course today's Simple as That is a picture of the boys in celebration.

I love this picture because if you look closely Sweets & Sassy ended up at the boys table after I took the picture is when I said hey wait what are you guys doing there! It was a fun time after our win to celebrate at everyone's favorite pizza shop.

Today its Sweets turn if they get the win HIS team heads to the Championship Let see what they can do. So proud of my boys.

Adventure Commander

Happy Saturday everyone.

Well its another Playoff Saturday at our neck of the woods. Before we head out & I lose my voice wanted to share another layout I did. This time I used my October Afternoon goodies that was in my amazing June Kits from Studio Calico this month. Everything is just SO much fun. WOW is all I can say. I even heard the main kit might still be available! Which I could NOT believe!

I still am working with the pictures from last weekend when we went to the park. This go around I made a page of my boy who keeps me on my toes.

As you can see the October Afternoon line Rocket Age is just PERFECT for Ram, he sure is my rocket ship from my kids. Everything is from that line expect the cardstock which is from American Crafts.

What to do When Goodies Arrive

You have to create something right! I have a layout to share with you today that I created with the goodies from my Yourscrapbookstash.com. I also used this weeks sketch for this layout.

I am still trying to work on scrapping older pictures and so this is how I choose the picture.

I must say that I loved this patterned paper. Do you know why? It had those bits of distressed spots on it. HEAVEN. I am so proud of myself for using it right away to!

Wanted to keep it simple so I could keep the focus on the pics. Hello everyone didn't want the day to go by w/out me posting a little hello & for those who are at their edges of their seats waiting to hear about our playoffs Ha. WE WON!! Go Pirates! Next playoff is tomorrow.. EEEKKKK...

Today I headed into the city and got home just in time for the boys. So its super busy as I'm trying to get everything done, plus get the kids comfy and the boys doing their homework.

Here is a little card that I made that I was gonna submit, but never did. So I said why not share it with you guys.

Yeah I went button happy I couldn't help it. Used some fun American Craft Thickers & a sweet little card. I actually plan on sending this to one of my friends who is expecting. (Although I know I need to put it in a padded envelope so it wouldn't get damaged. )

Simple As That : Brotherly Fun

Happy Sunday. So we ended going to the park yesterday & had a blast. I love seeing my kids have fun and this Simple as That moment was caught while the boys were playing tag. Sassy & Hubby were playing on the swing (there will be a scrapbook page on that for sure!) Hubby even caught me on the swing but he took those pics on his phone Ha..

Well my friends I will be shouting and cheering for the boys as Playoffs are HOOOOOOTTT right now. Hopefully we can get a win in and advance. Super nervous but so proud of both teams they are just amazing.

Playoff Weekend!

Just wanted to stop by & say HEY everyone. Just a quick stop by & say I'll be away for most of the weekend (I will have my Simple as that tomorrow) as its the start of our Playoffs! Well Ram's is. Sweets last reg. game will be tomorrow at the same time as Ram will be playing so we shall be split and on phones trying to keep up w/both games!

So before I go I thought I'd share a pic with you guys :

These were the boys getting home from Field day, once we have this day we know its almost time for school to end we have less then 3 weeks to go before this year comes to an end. I can't believe how fast time has flown by. Soon it will be time for backyard water balloon fights, playing with bubbles and sleeping in till 9 (yeah cause my kids DO NOT believe in sleeping any later )

Hope you are enjoy your weekend. Hopefully we get to squeeze in the Children's Museum this weekend as its free and that is one place Sassy hasn't been and I dying to get her in there. OH I will have one mama fun picture taking time seeing all the fun these 3 will have in there!

Smashing Love : Project Life Thursday

Today I want to share something that I have incorporated with my Project Life Album. I recently had purchased a SMASH album from K&Company. This has to be the coolest thing since well Project Life Ha.. I love using both together. For me this is going to be my own little project for the summer and I already have started to fill in the pages and have used things from what I write in the book to my album.

Would you like to see what I have done so far?

I love the pages they are just so much fun as you can see in some of the pics. I also personalized it by using Studio Calico goodies including Mr.Huey Mist sprays & stamps pieces from the kits as well as May Road lace for my cover.

So for today my dear bloggy friends if you don't Smash I so think you should they have 4 different colors each a different style so find yours & have fun. Documenting is totally fun. I love it!

Oh and if your wondering hmm Ellie WHERE is your Project Life Album. Well I think the best thing to do is an update by video which I hope to have up on Monday as the boys will be home for the rest of the week & this weekend their playoffs start! EEK. so needless to say its gonna a bit busier but LOVE it.

Ahead of the Game... For Now

Happy June 1st. How is it possible that we are already in June. Time sure flies when your having fun. Also it means the boys have 22 days left for the end of the school year, which also means I better get started on my Teacher gifts.

Today I am happy to say that I actually have two sets of Teacher note cards ready to go!

For these cards I used my Silhouette to cut out the apples which actually is this weeks Free Shape! How cool is that & PERFECT for these cards. I also used the Silhouette to cut out the box to place the cards in.

I used My Hero Arts stamps for the sentiments used. They came from - Everyday Sayings and Dictionary Greeting was used for the panel put on the box.

I made 6 cards with 2 of each sentiment & will include the envelopes so they will be able to stash these somewhere close by & use them when needed.

I also plan on making baskets for them with other goodies which I will share with you all. I also am working on more card sets for the other teachers but am excited I started earlier then I usually do I must admit. I've been known to be working a day before the last day BUT I always make sure to do something for the teachers who do so much for the kids year round.

Hello everyone again. Am I the only one thrown off a bit by the extended Holiday weekend? I thought for a minute it was Monday but then came to...there goes that week speeding again.

Today I'm sharing a Digi Page I made using another of Kitty Designs kits. They are really easy & so much fun to use. The picture I used was from yesterday when we went out to eat dinner after the movies. I just love how the kids love their Daddy, super melts me.

I am working on my digi album and really can't wait till I have enough pages to get them printed and see them all together. I love that I can work on my album and I don't have to use any physical product for those times when I am working on other projects and my desk is busy.

How about you when was the last time you did a digi scrapbook page?

Happy Memorial day everyone. Hope you had a wonderful weekend. We enjoyed family time which is priceless to me so I must say it was fun. We just got back from the movies & I came home and rushed to post my projects for the Paper Crafts Color Inspiration #5

I even went and made a little card :

For both these projects I used mainly my Studio Calico kits from May as well as Ali Edwards stamps (the layout) & the cutie stamp set from Paper Smooches -Yummy Chubs. I had to get my hands on this set. Its super cute. My Sassy made me giggle because as I was coloring this cutie she said Mama your coloring an angry bird?

This was my Sweets yesterday at his 1st All Star game. He along w/ the other players did wonderful. He pitched, played outfield as well as Catcher which he jumped in for the first time EVER.

On a Mojo Kick... & Loving it!

Good Morning my bloggy friends. Today I wanted to share a little card I made for Lawn Fawn Challenge.

As I was cleaning up my stuff from playing yesterday I saw a reminder on Facebook that we still had a couple of hours to play with this weeks Challenge which happened to be to use Polka Dot which is one of my favorite things to use.

So here is my little card I made :

For this little card I grabbed my Lawn Fawn stamps : Swimsuit Season & Say Cheese. I grabbed my pad of October Afternoon-5 and Dime Line and stamped the swimsuit and cut it out. I stamped the photo frame and distresed it and stamped the little splashes of water with Watermark ink.

I had to grab some Washi tape from American Craft Oh speaking of Washi tape I have an upcoming giveaway "hint,hint" Coming soon so stay tuned for that!

I also grabbed some of my Tim Holtz Glassine Sheets LOVE that why haven't I been using this more often? A bit of hoarding maybe? I used my cosmo cricket alphas for my sentinment. Love that they are clear & the font is so much fun.

The ribbon was left over strip from my stash and a PTI button put it together and a little happy Summer card.

Sweets is a bit under the weather although I think he's feel better because I did the "if you feel up to it you can play w/daddy on the Xbox" and I can hear his giggles so that is a good sign indeed.

Back for another Round! -Moxie Fab Chervon Challenge

Hello all I manganed to post while trying to figure out what is going on w/Blogger again. Went through Explorer and here I am. Chevorn challenge take 2. I can't help it I had the patterned paper still out and then thought what else could I create :

For this little card I used my Silhouette to die cut my apple using some paper from My Mind's Eye-Lime Twist (did I mention that is one AWESOME collection). The little leaf was cut out of some patterned paper left over from my Project Life kit.

I inked the edge of the apple w/Malted Milk from Jenni Bowlin for accent. My sentiment came from Paper Smooches : Falling for you. I just colored in the little hearts w/a red Copic market to make it pop.

Are you wondering about my clouds? Well if your a kit memeber from Studio Calico then you should have this little set. As it was part of the main kit from April- super Love it.

Put the die cut pieces together w/foam dots on the card at last minute I just grabbed some red cardstock & punched out the little heart & put it on the leaf w/a foam dot as well.

Getting Moxie Fab - Chervon Chic Challenge

So I'm suppose to be going out the door but what am I doing posting this card I did for a Moxie Challenge! Ha..

Challenge :
Create a paper crafted project that incorporates chevron stripes in an innovative way.

I've been having one WICKED sweet tooth lately and so this is how this card came about :

Better to create then eat a doughnut (or so I am telling myself) So here I used my Silhouette for the doughnut die cut.
Used some Stickles for highlights cause aren't doughnuts more yummy w/sprinkles?

I am in LOVE w/ My Mind's Eye )Lime Twist collection which was used for the yummy frosting. Sentiment was stamped with Jenni Bowlin -Brown Sugar and the sentiment was from Papetrey Ink's- Cupcake collection. I also used my American Crafts Brown precision pen to create the frame.
